At a very young age, he liked telling stories in general. He wrote his first short story at age 11 while sitting in class, after class was dismissed and he was asked to stay behind, he thought that punishment was eminent, it was his fifth grade teacher's words of encouragement that made him love writing.
Born to poet father and after writing many poems himself, he combined his love for story telling and poetry by writing scripts which is considered the poetry of writings on many aspects.

It wasn't until he moved to the United States, where he first studied acting and later directing, the first led him to be on the Hollywood film set of "Against The Ropes" with Meg Ryan and Omar Epps directed by Charles S. Dutton and while on the set, watching everything going on behind "making the film", he realized that's where he belongs, behind the camera on the creative side of story telling; and that led him to the latter.
